 Lose yourself in the majestic magnificence of our country parks or stroll in the scrupulously maintained gardens of some of our great houses: the choice is yours.  Public and parks abound across the region, but you’ll find that gardening is also a general passion here.  Look out for occasional openings of smaller gardens too and don’t forget to  check out the local garden centres.

The ocean is stunningly beautiful from the shoreline, but you need to venture further to fully appreciate its strength and power.  Try white knuckle thrill rides across the Atlantic  waves or a (hopefully) more sedate ferry crossing to Rathlin Island, the only inhabited offshore island in Northern Ireland, and the most northerly inhabited island off the Irish coast.

It’s what the locals do and you can too.  Visit the local markets and home bakeries for your picnic ingredients or get your hotel or guest house to make up a basket, then head out wherever the mood takes you!  There are loads of designated spots if you fancy a barbeque or you can get far from the madding crowd on unspoilt beaches, in hidden glens or on remote mountaintops.
