Galgorm Castle Golf Club, Ballymena

Galgorm Castle Golf Club
Ballymena

Description:
This wonderfully spacious 18 hole championship Golf Course is set in 220 acres of mature parkland in the grounds of one of Ireland's historically unique castles. Opened in the summer of 1997, the 6800 yds par 72 course is constructed to the highest standards, with all tees and greens built to USGA specification. The course is bordered by the rivers Main and Braid which come into play and include a magnificent oxbow feature and five impressive landscaped lakes.

At the rear of the Club House is the Golf Academy, incorporating the floodlit Driving Range with 24 bays, where the PGA staff have comprehensive practice and teaching facilities, including a 9 hole Par 3 Course, to provide the perfect learning conditions for golfers of all ages and experience.

Galgorm Castle is the first course in Ireland to equip their fleet of buggies with on board GPS Satellite Navigation and was recently rated as one of the top parkland courses in the country by Derek Henderson of the Press Association. Galgorm Castle was also selected as one of Ireland's top 30 courses in the 2006 publication "Irelands Finest Courses" by John Redmond.
